Dave is the top strength & sports conditioning specialist in the country.He has over 10 years experience in top level sport with a proven trak record. He has worked with national and international sports performers from numerous countries. He specializes in developing them from the very beginning of their physical development training through to their performances at their highest level. Dave presents at conferences on weight lifting and tutors on weight training courses; and has written articles and produced a DVD on weight training for rugby.

He has held the position of Head of Strength & Conditioning with:
Plymouth Albion RFC    1999 - 2001
NEC Harlequins FC    2001 - 2006
Bristol Rugby        2006 – 2009

Dave is an excellent motivator and excels in getting results. In fact sport runs in the blood, his son Chris plays for Sale Sharks and his other son Tommy is in the England U18’s Rugby Squad.

Emma is a highly experienced, state registered chartered physiotherapist. She has spent the last 11 years working in professional sport and 5 years increasing her private practice experience.
 
She has mainly been responsible for the treatment of Wigan Warriors Rugby League team, but also headed the medical team at Orrell Rugby Union during their professional years.
 
She has been consulted by a number of elite athletes in other sporting fields who have benefited from her specialist expertise. However, she has enjoyed developing a role in applying her knowledge of treating elite personnel to the general public and her skill can be of benefit to all. 
 
Emma is uniquely placed to provide our clients with a bespoke service to support them in achieving their goals – from initial assessment and on-going maintenance to rehabilitation and treatment of injuries and pain.
 
Whatever the problem Emma will endeavour to diagnose the condition and underlying cause then provide a top class service to help you return to pain free living and optimal performance.

Rachel Price

Rachel is a graduate Sports Therapist from Edge Hill University, with a National Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science. Whilst at university Rachel worked in the university sports injury clinic treating a range of clients from elite athletes to members of the general public.
 
Rachel has experience of working across a range of sports providing pitch side assessment and rehabilitation to Ashton Athletic FC in the North West Counties league and also working along side Emma Fletcher our Medical Director at Wigan Warriors, providing support during both training and match days to the first team squad. Rachel her self is a keen swimmer, and is now competing in triathlons.
 
Rachel is currently working for Perform with Rugby Union's National 3 North Side Rossendale RUFC.

Matt Lovell
Nutritionist


BAHons Dip ION

Matt began his interest in sports at an early age starting Karate at 12. This lead to a life-time obsession with all things training, nutritional and health related. After gaining his instructors qualification in Karate, he went onto coach fitness at his local amateur boxing club. After completing a degree in Political Philosophy at Bristol, Matt couldn't keep away from the health and fitness arena and qualified as a personal trainer eventually running his own company in the City.  This lead to him developing his other passion:  nutrition. Matt undertook further 3 years of study at the Institute of Optimum Nutrition.

He went on to spend time on Harley Street, specializing in elite sports, female hormonal health and body composition management. The contacts he made through this work lead to a spell working as nutritionist to Millwall football club during which time they made the play-off for the Premiership and also qualified for the FA cup final.

In 2002 Matt started working with the England Rugby Team and was part of Clive Woodward's team that lifted the World Cup in 2003. He continues in the same role working with the England team having reached the final of the 2007 Rugby World Cup against all the odds.

Matt currently runs his own elite performance based company called Perform and Function.  This is aimed at elite athlete but also at all levels of health related performance.

Wendy Sly

Wendy an Olympian had a glittering sporting career, holding numerous British records; culminating in the silver medal in the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

She competed for GB athletics until 1991 in the 1500 and 3000 metre events.

Since retiring from athletics she has had success in publishing and marketing, currently as a director for: CLG (Complete Leisure Group). She was in the senior management team at Ziff Davis as circulation director and has held the head of magazine publishing at the Readers Digest.
