FULL MEDICAL SCREENING
A full and thorough check by our on site physiotherapist will determine any weaknesses and any muscle / joint imbalances. Corrective rehabilitation / prehabilitation exercises and routines will be prescribed to address these conditions. The screening will also assess your balance and proprioceptive ability, and these results will form the basis of your initial programme.
DETAILED PRE-HAB / RE-HAB ROUNTINES
With the results taken from the screening an extensive and detailed plan of rehabilitation exercises will be drawn up between your own personal trainer and your own personal physiotherapist.
e.g. If your knee stability is poor a programme of single leg balance drills will be scheduled for you with a definite start and finish point, so you will be tested in your screening and the results recorded, after the corrective exercises have been completed you will be re-tested and the improvements recorded in your personal Perform Centre folder.
FULL ACCESS TO ON SITE PHYSIOTHERAPY

FULL INVESTIGATION INTO THE TRAINING HISTORY
Once all of the above has been established, a full investigation into your training history will be carried out, your personal coach will need to know your weight training history and how long you have been training for sports, (health related training and sports related training are two completely different animals). It may become apparent to your trainer that you need to be taken right back to basics and for example taught how to squat correctly. Or you could be put straight into your sports related training right away.
A STRUCTURED PHASED PLAN OF TRAINING DEVISED
With all the information about you, it is now possible to write a structured training plan for you. This will be cycled into training phases and will fit in around your lifestyle.
FULL VIDEO ANALYSIS OF MOVEMENT PATTERNS AND LIFTING TECHNIQUE
All technical sessions will be filmed and the feed back given to you, this is vitally important as you will gain much information from these sessions and gain better technique quickly.

METABOLIC TYPING COMPLETED BY ENGLAND RFU NUTRITIONIST
Here at Perform Centre we realise that there are certain areas of sports performance improvements that are so critical that they need specialists in their own field to deliver the information. We have secured the services of one of the worlds leading authorities on sports nutrition. He advises such organisations as:
- England Rugby
- Premiership Rugby Union Clubs
Sports nutrition is a vital piece of the training programme,
It is impossible to out train a poor diet.
You will be assessed by means of a very detailed questionnaire which has been tried and tested on the above organisations for many years; this will determine your metabolic typing and will determine which foods you can and can not eat, and also when are the best times to refuel.
NUTRITIONAL PLAN CREATED
With your metabolic type known it is now possible to plan you nutrition, to enable you to achieve your training goals. There is a refuelling area within the Perform Centre which will provide the correct type of nutritional sources.
Full supplementation provided. Sports supplementation is a vital part of your training and nutritional plan, all supplements that are required from your nutritional plan will be provided within your membership.
ONE TO ONE TRAINING SESSIONS WITH YOUR OWN PERSONAL S&C COACH
All of your sessions at Perform Centre will be written and delivered to you by your own personal coach; they will oversee all of your sessions to keep continuity and monitor your progress. Certain sessions will be best done in a group environment for the competitive element this will also be delivered by your own personal coach.
REGULAR TESTING TO DETERMINE TARGETS AND GOALS REASSESSED ACCORDINGLY
Testing is an important part of the programme, how will you know if the programme is delivering what it is meant to do, if you do not have results to compare against?
At the start of your training at Perform Centre you will be tested in areas that are pertinent to you and your sport.
e.g. Basketball
- 30 metre sprint
- Vertical jump
- 10 kg med ball throw
- Overhead squat
All these tests measure, explosive power, flexibility and balance.
Soccer player
- Maximal squats at a set load
- Agility course
- 10 /40 metre speed
- Shuttle run
- Standing broad jump
All these tests measure, maximal strength endurance, speed, speed balance and forward explosive power.
